Activity 3 - Blog 3 (SOFTWARE ENGINEERING)
A. SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
Software requirements describe aspects that the system should possess, including usability, security, and performance. Other than these requirements, hardware, software, and network requirements are also described as well as expectations about the users' side, their interface interaction with other systems. Requirements have played a significant role in acting as a development guide, hence ensuring that functionality and system performance has been agreed upon by all parties.B. STAKEHOLDERS
A stakeholder is simply a person having an interest in a project, organization, or system. It is anybody whose outcome will be affected by the business or project. Demands and expectations of stakeholders are core to the success and sustainability of a project. This is because they can influence what decisions will be made, give or use their resources, or bear the consequences arising from the outcome of a project.
C. CONTEXT DIAGRAM
Context diagrams illustrate the advanced forms of graphic models of systems in which borders and interactions with external entities, information flow among them, are represented. The typical system usually is represented as an oval or rectangle and enclosed with external elements, users, other systems, or organizations. An effective context diagram also serves as a means of useful communication among stakeholders. At the same time, it can prove to be a reference for the development of the system and planning the project. This simply makes the scope and interaction of the system highly clear.
D. USE CASE MODEL
A use case model describes exactly how the external entities termed "actors" interact with the system to achieve some set of goals. It shows exactly how these entities interact with the system and draws a very vivid picture of its functional requirements from a user's viewpoint. Besides the connections showing interaction, it has actors and use cases outlining the functionality of the system. It allows the gathering of requirements and collaboration between stakeholders as a basis upon which the system can be validated and then test cases derived.
E. BUSINESS MODEL CANVAS
start-up and organizations in general.
